SUMMARY
The various different strands that go to make up the craft of beekeeping are addressed by education and training.
Brooksby apiary is the main teaching apiary of the
LRBKA and has on site workshop and lecture facilities. This is the centre of our training of new and experienced beekeepers alike with queen rearing and summer lectures from our Regional Bee Inspector and others.
We also have a new apiary at Walton in the South of Leicestershire for those that live closer to Walton than Brooksby. It is hoped to develop the facilities at Walton over the coming years and volunteer labour is sought in order to speed this process.
Winter Meetings are held each month from October to April covering a wide variety of bee related and occasionally non-bee related subjects. See Finding Us for more details.
